Philip Bailey – Philip Bailey (1994)

It only takes a matter of time to wonder where a good album does go when it gets discontinued. In 1994, Zoo Entertainment/BMG released this album by EWF's very own Philip Bailey. I wonder who can remember the song, "Here With Me", in which the video was eventually in rotation at BET's "Video Soul" back in the day?

Well, that song did come from this self-entitled "Smash Hit" album by Philip, and to as much embarrassment that Zoo Entertainment slept on this lost gem, they really didn't care much about promoting it. They just figured, "Hey, it's Philip Bailey from Earth, Wind & Fire…let the album speak for itself. Maybe the fans will notice that it's out there." HELLO!? IDIOTS! That's why you're a record company…you're supposed to promote good records…WAKE UP!!!

I guess that's why the major labels of today enjoy the pleasure of giving you "trashy" music to make your head hurt, or better yet..EXPLODE!!

Anyway, I'm sure that most of you music lovers are looking for this lost album by Philip Bailey, so here it is!
